About Pinecrest Athletics
At Pinecrest Academy, athletics isn't merely an exhibition of athletic prowess on the field and the court. Our athletics program is much more than that. Athletics is intertwined with our formation program, supporting the four pillars of Integral Formation – Human, Intellectual, Spiritual, and Apostolic.
Athletics plays a very important role in preparing our student-athletes to strive to maximize their character and leadership skills, in addition to their sports skills. Our school motto "Semper Altius," meaning "always higher," challenges students to be their best for the team and for Christ. It’s not unusual to find one of our athletics teams in the chapel prior to a game, praying or attending Mass as a team. Prayer is a part of each athletic event as well. Student-athletes are trained to be Christian leaders on the athletic field as well as in the classroom.
Pinecrest offers 13 sports to our high school and middle school students, as well as Junior Paladins Basketball and Soccer programs for our younger children. Our Varsity and Middle School sports are sanctioned by the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
