Stations of the Cross

Pinecrest Academy was blessed with renewed Stations of the Cross on February 9, 2018, thanks to the generosity of the Schumann, Rice, and Kieffer families. More than a decade prior, a group of Pinecrest fathers at our Catholic school saw the need for a place on campus to walk, pray, and reflect. They constructed and placed the original Stations of the Cross along the trail behind the Middle School. After more than 10 years of use, the Stations began to show wear. Mr. and Mrs. Schumann were honored to offer their time and talents to redo the Stations. The Schumanns constructed the 14 Stations boxes, and the Rice family stained the boxes and donated posts to hold them. Roman Numeral plaques created by Mrs. Stone’s high school art students were added as center pieces, made possible by generous benefactors.
