Pinecrest to Welcome Sunday Night Football on NBC Crew to First Home Football Game
Come support our Pinecrest Academy Paladin athletic program and football team this Friday night “between the pines!” Our young and committed squad, lead by our new Head Coach Terance Mathis, plays our first Home Varsity Football game vs Walker. Supporting our student athletes and cheering them on from the stands is an important way to show our community spirit and honor our student athletes.
It will be extra exciting this Friday evening, September 15, as members from the Sunday Night Football on NBC production team will be on-hand to film our game! Each year, NBC features select high schools during the televised Sunday Night Football games, and this season, the NBC crew is focusing on former NFL players now giving back and coaching high school football. They have selected Coach Terance Mathis and the Pinecrest Paladins for the next high school football segment!
A crew of 10 from Sunday Night Football on NBC will arrive on campus with the colorful 45-foot long Sunday Night Football bus. This interactive bus will be open for tours, and some of the features include: team lockers, an SNF Movie giving behind the scenes highlights, signed footballs, a matchup ticket graphic, selfie/player photobomb wall, Microsoft touch screen, FNIA Broadcast & SNF Photo Experience, and an interactive control room.
The bus will be available and open for tours from 5:30-7:30pm on Friday evening at the football field, so families are encouraged to arrive to the game early, tour the bus, enjoy concessions, and be ready to cheer on the Paladins. We will also be recognizing our Athletics Hall of Fame honorees during the game, so come show your support to these fine athletes and coach!
The Sunday Night Football on NBC segment featuring the Paladins and Coach Mathis will be aired this Sunday evening, September 17, during the Atlanta Falcons vs. Green Bay Packers game.
