Carter Mayville was born and raised in Savannah, GA, where he played lacrosse as a defender for the Savannah Lacrosse Club (SavLax) Spartans.
Mayville worked with their lacrosse programs, both boys and girls, since their inception in 2013 and served as head coach for the boys from 2014-2019, the highlight of which was the 2017 season when he led their 27 boys to an 11-0 undefeated season and a Metro10 championship.
In 2019, Mayville stepped down from coaching to devote more time to his growing family before returning to Pinecrest Lacrosse as the varsity girls lacrosse head coach for the 2024 season.
Aside from lacrosse, Mr. Mayville enjoys traveling to new places with his two sons, Parker and Will, and his wife, Katie.
