Middle School Fall Conferences – Virtual This Year
As with many other events this year, our Middle School is "going virtual" with Fall Conferences! While the format may be a little different, it does allow us to do things in a new way with the same expectations of our students.
Below you will find all the necessary details:
- Teachers have provided their availabilities for conferences via Calendly. This service syncs with Google Calendar, meaning it will show up on their calendar and show you the times they are available to meet with you throughout the week. Simply follow the link next to the teacher on the sheet below, and choose a time that is best for you to meet via Google Meet! *You don't need a Google account to use Google Meet.
- Signups are open on a rolling basis from Monday, 9/28 through Thursday, 10/8, but spaces are limited. While our "Conference Day" is Thursday, 10/8, teachers will be making themselves available throughout the week of 10/5-10/8 to meet with you. If there are no times that fit your schedules, we encourage you to reach out to the teacher(s) for suggestions on additional times or approaches to resolving any concerns you may have.
- We strongly encourage your child to be present to advocate for themselves. Conferences are a formative opportunity for students to take ownership of their successes and failures, and by having them advocate for themselves and provide first-hand insight to any issues that may need to be resolved in the classroom, the path to stability and improvement is made much clearer!
