Exploratory
Our Middle School curriculum includes Exploratory courses. The purpose of Exploratory courses is to offer opportunities and experiences that students may not otherwise have. They provide an opportunity for middle school students to explore electives that are an extension of our regular curriculum, and to pursue an interest or talent.
Pinecrest Academy’s exploratory courses focus primarily on the Fine Arts, with offerings of Band, Visual Arts, Theatrical Arts, Technical Theater ("Stage Tech"), and STEAM. In addition, Weightlifting is offered during the electives period for 8th grade students. These courses happen five days a week just before students' lunch period.
